Only three sets of work, yet a literal litany of prolific observations deducted this miserable monstrosity. Sustainable power output is measured by offering just enough rest to keep the ship from capsizing before the bar leaves the dock.
Amazing, but grip was a factor on the pull-ups. Hands severed connection with each set far before pulling power disappeared. I contribute this phenomenon to resting with the bar in the rack. As thrusters approach terminal numbers, more rest is required. Maintaining the rack position for reprieve swelled the forearms and biceps, limiting staying time on pull-ups substantially.
This format is a great evaluation platform. The concept of max reps never allows the program to become antiquated. Each and every time you revisit this workout it will test your capacity to move the prescribed weight. You either improve or digress. No limitations by the way of time or rep scheme. Efficiency combined with power, permitting both assets equal draw in the testing process regardless of the athlete’s base or ability.
