  1. 15 + 6 push-ups (compared to 14 on 20APR2010)

Perpetual pursuit of improvement implies dispensing encouraging thoughts surrounding previous achievement in favor of searching a vast caldron overflowing with ongoing development. To find comfort in former exploits only sabotages the seams of progress, disassembling the fabric of our constitution. Sworn to protect and defend the very charter that binds us, we press forward, recalling past accomplishment as means to appraise contemporary action. Defense is not without cost, advancement is won on a battlefield marred by personal sacrifice, suffering casualty at the broad edge of determination.

Attacking Alpha is process internalized by the assaulter. Perceived capability must align with practical execution in order to maximize performance. Recollection of my preceding encounter in connection with immediate experience verified any remaining suspicions. If muscle ups do not impose an instant choke point, then move as fast as possible until fatigue takes over. The pace will slow at some point in the confines of 12 minutes; it’s advantageous to earn maximal hash marks before conservatively applying the emergency brake. From here, it’s a matter of maintaining movement and avoiding failed repetitions all the way to the finish.
