REOCCURRING DIASTER

max reps in 2 minutes:

body weight deadlift
double unders
24kg kbs (american)

each 2 minute segment transitions immediately to the next (6 min. total)

-10 mim. rest-

perform the number of repetitions achieved in 2 minutes for time. Rest 2 minutes between movements.

record total reps from the first round and individual times for the second round

Actual results will often stray from intended consequences. In this situation, the evaluation of final numbers for all three participants indicated an aspect overlooked at inception. Design, work, and rest were implemented properly, but personal capacity to endure associated rigors in the first round had profound effects on the outcome of second round activity. Ability to maintain fluid work throughout the initial six minutes produced numbers difficult to replicate under the previous time constraint. Conversely, fatigue laden results when paired with integrated rest left ample energy to reproduce lightening fast opening round totals. The moral of this painful story: Scrutinize your first round numbers, corresponding times indicate stamina or lack thereof.
