  4. Self-contained fantasy is the only recourse for waking up to the reality of life on the border, i.e. the gray colored terminus of both night and day. Operating in the muscle zone seems more like science fiction than reality, drones pacing to and fro, worshipping ritual dictated by a higher authority and published in a sick and twisted collective. The slightest deviation from the strict sectarian protocol is a dangerous self-ingratiating risk of calling attention to yourself. Negotiating this fun house demands blending in and feeding from the same saltpeter trough as the locals. The limited tools and cockeyed configuration requires thoughtful planning and execution. Turn the music up and drown out the hypnotic white noise in the background.
    8:20 Being as the two movements are slow barbell movements the measurement of speed is only so valid. A better gage might be total rest accumulated between movements. Going too fast might be detrimental as these movements are more a function of diligence than explosive intensity. Another idea would be specified but limited transition times in order to incorporate rest. Everyone will move the weight at different speeds to account for different body types and sizes. There is more that goes into timing a workout than the current trend would lead one to believe.

  5. i believe your summary of the current one dimensional outlook on timing overall work to be true. there are untapped measuring sticks within the window from point A and B when we hit start and stop. video analysis has led to different thoughts with regards to transition time and how to minimize said demon in order to maximize overall speed. your idea of measuring rest for score fills in the rest of the equation. thanks. back to the lab...

  6. I don't know what's more nauseating about that place, the neon lights, the rusty stench left behind on your hands after using the bars, or the beefcakes checking themselves out-while checking you out-via the fun house array of mirrors (shiver...)
