The goals here, “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!” Take your sword to the grindstone and your armor to the blacksmith; this is classic bodyweight with a barbaric twist. Better have a solid shield, 50 deadlift repetitions at 275# swings a colossal battleaxe. The tempo changes, but only slightly, the fundamentals were maintained for classic effect. There’s only a flash of relief present when setting up over the load. The critical difference arises with the speed of the air squats in advanced rounds, after moving a moderate d-lift consistently. The evil wizard in this workout for me has always been the sit-ups. In rounds four and five the anterior lever protracts. But, I have a positive ID on the culprit stealing time. I struggled mightily to preserve sub-four minute rounds, working against the stopwatch directly under my nose. Today the evil wizard triumphed by mystical illusion and slight of hand. Our next encounter, he won’t be so fortunate.

Barbara in itself can give you that slightly uneasy feeling, but you may want to take a moment to converse with Krom before this one...
