The will to succeed is accompanied by a commensurate dedication to prepare for success. Inventory should be taken periodically for assessing progress and reevaluating standard operating procedures. Technical mastery requires technical analysis. "Figuring it out" on one's own has value but a peer reviewed approach is necessary to fill in the gaps and refine the fundamentals. The mantra to remember: the form lifts the weight. Fix the form and the absolute formidability of the weight changes. We started with light weight from the hang position, just over the knees, over the bar, weight in the heels, chest up, "one one thousand, T!" snap at the pockets, chest up. The bar travels back, not up, catching it in the rack, and wondering what just happened. Working from the hang to the squat, from the ground to the squat, adding weight and ending with a crisp 275#.
Ran a mile. Then did full squat cleans all the way through. Started off with Burg w-up. then went from 30 to 90kgs. Really working on my form. Then ran a mile again. 4 hours later did CFJax wod from Saturday.
