  1. Education regarding the box jump: If you already know this then skip it; however, it still surprises me that misguided ideas flow freely as commerce. The bouncy box jump used on the 20ish inch box is perfect for cultivating fitness as an alternative to doing anything else for sustained periods. As the box gets taller the metabolic demands change as do the elicited effects. The same difference is between running distance and sprints. The 30" box jump should not be used for the bouncy technique as much as it should be used for generating power and creating higher jump. Jumping high may be a demand found in nature whereas jumping repeatedly is still good for fitness but more likely to be found in a video game. The bouncy technique is also great for coordination, rhythm, and keeping your wits about you while maintaining numerical objectives. The tall box may not elicit the feeling of exhaustion but still does some important work on the inside. You probably won't see any high jumpers exhausting the 20" box like you do in gyms across the fruited plain. In order to jump higher you have to jump higher. In order to run faster you have to.... you get the idea. Don't get pigeon holed into the indulgence of endorphins. Important work has yet to be done. What does this highly opinionated opinion have to do with anything? Consider your objectives while training. That's it.

This program was designed to boost numbers while maintaining a high level of power and strength. How? By incorporating the one minute of rest and not breaking any sets. The set of 8 muscle ups wasn't easy but nothing worth doing is. The deadlifts presented a much slower and insidious decay. The aftermath proved the hypothesis that 275 X 48 would be more devastating than the 324 average of 315 x 30.
The manipulation of numbers is just as important as the generating of new ideas. This is why the accounting department at 324 enterprises is staffed overtime by hard working Americans who have a hankering for embezzling repetitions from unsuspecting clients.
