The adrenaline farm produced a healthy harvest of energy this morning, one that can't be replicated in my cave of usual.
As the cliche goes, we don't know what we are capable of until we try but, more importantly, it takes the right people to provide the extra nudge to push harder in order to go much farther.
Today was a foray into uncharted territory, a precursory lift off for tomorrow's pursuit of higher places, places where reason isn't welcome and courage is standard fare.

  4. So it turns out it was 18 @ 82% 1RM back on the 18th for you and around 87% for Turbo. Congrats on the PR's and thanks for answering my "simple" question.

  5. This was yet again, an amazing wod. It is really just a shame that I live across the pond. If you guys ever decide to travel a little. Let me know.

I will attempt this wod this morning. Let's see what happens.
    btw: happy new year!

The appropriate atmosphere fosters opportunity for success; it drives the body and empowers the mind. There is no substitution for contest, no modification for rivalry, and no scaling pride. Rarely are we afforded the prospect of such surroundings. We can find this potent environment in formal competition, but it’s a difficult concoction to replicate. Yet, fill a cold concrete structure with the right people, and like an incendiary device, watch them burn it to the ground. Today, CFJAX was a fiery battlefield, its’ walls housing the perfect mixture of camaraderie and combat.

  7. This was not a "good day" for me. Then again, maybe it was. ( I got to see some of my problems.) Did the g2o for 10 min. I seriously realized how horrible my squat clean is. Needless to say, I decided to work the g2o a little longer. Went to 85 kg. I have done more before. So it was the lonliness of training by myself or/and a mind f***. Today, I lost the battle within....

After wasting enough time. did 1 round of the 82kg squat clean thrusters, muscle ups and du's
5:?? The 82kg squat clean thrusters were hard but managable. What does that say?

This wod will be attempted tomorrow again.

  8. Just got back.
Bad days are great Rob. Embrace them as opportunities to go back to the drawing board and experiment with a different strategy. We are all mad scientists. Nothing should come easy until we've blown our hair off and burned our eyebrows. Frustration breeds creativity. Keep going until you get it.
