  1. It felt good to squeeze the life out of the bar before grabbing the life line and heading for the roof. The pre exhausted grip shares a direct relationship with height so as one goes up so does the need to dig deeper. I don't try to conserve anything on the rope. It's a climb to the finish and due to its height the return trip has to be just as meticulously negotiated. The extreme contraction and requisite intensity felt one step closer to world domination.
I considered the nonsensical approach to doing this wod for time just for the sake of argument with myself. It wouldn't have made any sense as I would've inevitably been standing under to rope waiting on recovery so as to prevent falling to my untimely demise. The bench press reps would've been broken having to, once again, contend with absolute failure. Not necessarily this wod but there are others like it that are done for time and other than the perception of "having a good workout" I think it does an injustice to the ability to generate useful power and cultivate good form that builds both strength and confidence. Some changes are afoot. Stand by for heavy rolls as this ship comes about.
