read the small print

225# d-lift x 50 for time

small print: every time you break the set you will pay with 10 pull ups. If you break your set of pull ups you will pay with 20 jumping pull ups. If you get this far and break your set of jumping pull ups, as defined by taking your hands off of the bar, then you are done.

  3. Davy, that might not be a good idea. Better to wait a month or so. It's ultimately your choice but I'm willing to bet that your body may not be happy about it.
    I have to admit that this workout took me by surprise. It did not go as planned.

    47 deadlifts (lost my grip on one hand)
    no worries I thought so I went straight to the bar to knock out an easy ten and it felt like I had never done a pull up in my life. I actually failed at number seven and was relegated to jumping pull ups. This was even worse. I chose the taller of the short bars and could barely do legal jumping pull ups. I truly didn't think I was going to make it to ten. I was astounded but once I got to ten I just sucked it up and stood there like a helpless victim with his arms stuck in stocks. After barely finishing debatable legal jumping pull ups I rested 30 seconds just to be sure and avoid this nasty punishment. I plan on revisiting this one for the sake of avoiding the punishment. Sometimes it's better to suck it up, work harder, and avoid the consequences of rest and short cuts. I learned a lot during this simple/difficult wod. More to come. Davy if you choose not to do this wod again, tomorrow's will be:
    heavy bench press
    5-5-5-5-5
    rest 3
    then tabata static holds on the rings
    rest 3
    then tabata sit ups
