    Ancillary field-testing to validate utility of the hang squat clean thruster was conducted today at base camp. Introductory exposure to the movement revealed promise under selective execution. Preliminary research (“Boneyard” 13OCT2010) was carried out as solo venture, an effort to avoid contaminating the progress of my willing counterparts with an unproven product. Further contact and added test subjects verified usefulness of the exercise. At first, resetting properly for subsequent reps was a concern. Particularly, returning the feet to the jumping position after the bar is passed through the front squat and sent overhead. However, with additional thought and practice a smooth and efficient technique surfaced. A momentary pause at the peak of the thruster allows the feet to reset under the hips and the hook grip to be reestablished. This finite tuning of movement specific essentials enabled fluid and unbroken sets throughout. With basic fundamentals ingrained, let the games begin.

  2. The doctors haven't given me the go ahead, but I have. After 5 months of not working out it was time to drop back in.
