Imagine the implications of running from nature's volatile temperament. Hot, cold, or indifferent; the earth still has to spin and some of us are too determined to slow the onslaught. Do we want to become victims or products of nature? By training at a disadvantage everything else will be easy. Predictions of performance were highly exaggerated. The first iterations of the first and second evolution were started with a run but after about 50 mtrs and initiating DEFCON 1 pace slowed significantly. The lactic acid was enough to burn a hole in anyone's heart but the antibody of determination was enough to stave off the attack. Jettisoning the k-bells (70#) was inconsequential and made little difference in time. Each subsequent layer peeled away was one step closer to the full-throttled freedom of unencumbered volition.
This was a humbling experience. My sled is actually a 15" tire with a U- BOLT in it. I added weight to it, but it weighs 25# by itself let alone the resistance of rubber on asphalt... gonna rig something up because this made it take toooo long; 6:13, 5:24/ 3:28, 3:25/ 2:14,2:09, 1:32,1:33. Still, good stuff...thanks.

This is the cheapest and best way to build a homemade pulling sled. No reason to give money to the industry when you can do it yourself. Those are some long intervals. Looks like you got your money's worth.
