  1. This formula came straight from this morning's energy lab, a product of free-wheeling thought and brash behavior. After experimenting with a number of different tempos and movements and, at the risk of foregoing the coveted prescription-based-scientifically-formulated work out, it was soon made quite obvious that certain tempos have higher degrees of applicability depending on the nature of the movement. The body was used as nothing more than bulk HE, a proving ground for the mental demands of unlocking the mystery behind the perfect playing field. After all data was entered, test flights conducted, and votes casted hope was finally restored to an otherwise atrabilious universe. Even the most miniscule answers bring us one step closer to winning the epic battle against gravity.

  2. 36 intervals to 300

R & D continued on Project X with a second test subject. Shorter work time combined with equal rest allows maximum effort on each interval. Tabata workouts are often an exercise in strategy to achieve the best possible score. Mandate the reps and count the intervals; the only answer is getting in as much work as possible in the allotted time.

  3. 38 intervals to 300

Cody in Indiana is now the 3rd test subject for Project X. With my local gym performing cf total yesterday (which I PR'd @ 1040), I came in today looking for a solid metcon. Solution found in Project X. Thinking of all the benchmark and non-benchmark wods incorporating these 3 movements, they all fail in comparison to regulating work:rest and the addition of a 20# vest. My desire for more 324 grows with every session.
