5min rest/unload weights
5rounds of 10x c2b pullups/20xdu's for time 12:32sec.
med ball was too heavy for me (for now) to keep good pace during the latter portion of the WOD so added the pullup/du's at the end to make sure I was officially smoked! btw- its official... Im smoked!
The standard rules of operations and relations do not apply to for this equation. The finite aspect of this polynomial dictated the variable. Upon initial inspection, it would appear prudent to handle the ground to overhead at a smooth and steady pace. I completed 30 reps in ~3:30, assuming the relaxed pace would allow the ample time and energy to move rapidly through the ball slams/run intervals. The runs tendered no recovery, the taxing nature of both G2OH and ball slams relegated the run to a shuffle. Pacing the overhead lifts served only to FOIL the equation. In hindsight corroborated by further testing, moving 155# as quickly as possible was the immediate means to an acceptable solution. The final portion will move only so fast, get there with expeditious precision.
In continuing efforts to program utility and function into workouts, carrying the slam ball just makes sense. Unless it’s a fun run on the beach with sunscreen and Oakleys, then being subjected to some form of load is expected. Finding alternate methods to infuse practical situations with athletic training sharpens both edges of the blade.
