WHEN YOUR NUMBER IS CALLED......

  1. It's worth repeating. The only way to take your training to the next level is to compete. Training without objectives is done for naught. The conventional purpose of competition is to win but the true utility comes from the physical and attitudinal changes that ensue. Every execution is done so as to overcome the prospect of defeat. Each session is absorbed in its entirety so as to maximize learning and build muscle memory. Short notice competition will take six months of "regular" training and condense it to a month. The auxiliary preparations such as cutting weight, ignoring the fatigue and bothersome nuances of living like a machine in a human world will only strengthen resolve. Resistance will test persistence. The competition served its primary purpose before it even starts. The actual event tests a completely different pathway, one that subsequently drives training to yet an even higher level depending on the outcome. Two steps forward and one step back is the slow but steady pace towards true victory. Avoid sandbagging. Test yourself.

rob."operation crossroad". bombed out at 16:13 w/ 4dl 6 mu's. was able to get anymore. damned how frustrating. especially after bou does them as if it were nothing.

Took a break and did a few more for psychological reasons before I left the box.

My list of things to get better at doesn't seem to get shorter.
