  1. Douse a fire with oxygenated gas (if such an element existed) and this is what happens, i.e. a diminished effort fraught with exasperated chinks in the armor of enduring disaster. Bravo had thoroughly depleted the rich resources needed for survival in harsh jungle of invisible warfare. The techniques needed for survival weren't the issue as much as deploying the necessary adaptive measures to overcome the unexpected breakdown in fundamental maneuvers. The jungle had a variety of deleterious effects on theoretical operations. Provisions didn't anticipate the varied density of the gravel-laden trail, sharp turns, snagging downed limbs, inclines, and declines. The log became a bulldozer on the uphill plowing fields of gravel like the plow king does snow, only the pain was invoiced to each and every mitochondria screaming for mercy and cellular relief. For starters, the uneven terrain will erode any foundation upon which the strategy of usual depends. The one arm regulation enslaves the natural instinct to employ a unilateral effort. The nylon rope is about 1.5 inches in diameter and not designed to climb as it is to swing. The pitted face of the earth served to sabotage my addiction to the sterility of the gym or the warm and fuzzy urban environment. Nature is quick to abandon the illegal aliens so long as we bring our city dweller incompetency to the aloof and impersonal colosseum of Darwinian law. As Nietzsche so succinctly pointed out that the universe cares nothing for man I submit that nor does nature save for the fittest.
This series of evolutions slowly eroded my patriotism making personal treason an incrementally more attractive escape route. Quitting would never be a conscious option but when the mechanics of capability are juxtaposed against the raw and merciless demands of the jungle unforeseen laws by an impromptu congress of villains dictate who survives and who becomes decomposed matter that feeds the voracious appetite of nature.
