one mile timed run

I had to dodge walkers whose docile endeavor certainly took priority over my painless one mile run. God forbid they walk one mile and ten or eleven extra feet by using the outer lanes. They probably don't even measure their distance or time or know where they are in space or time. Passing a course in conscious living should be a prerequisite before going beyond a certain point in life. Why are people lazy in their "athletic" pursuits? If you are engaged in activity for the sole purpose of increasng your fitness or work capacity it only stands to reason that you would want to get as much bang for your buck as you can. WHY DO PEOPLE CUT CORNERS WHILE EXERCISING???? It's an astoundingly confusing question. The bottom line is that if you do it in the gym you probably do it in other life endeavors.
